Wow Jaclyn...powerful stuff and me just reading for the 2nd time When Breath Becomes Air by neurosurgeon Paul Kalanithi...he dies of cancer before reaching 40. You write well about living...
Heck yeah! Going right into the heart of darkness... and bringing your beautiful light. There is nothing quite like being told the doctor you're meeting with is the one who INVENTED the procedure - good hands, indeed.
… layers indeed. Captivating as I speed read forward..guilty’ily! Do you think that your written, words.. would have been different ‘if’ you were writing at the time of these revelations ? My question is nearly rhetorical.. as I’m curious as how you processed ( how any of us would ) ‘in the thick of it’… vs 10 yrs after. We see 10 yrs ago… through aged/more matured lenses.. or just blurried …? I wish we had that 10 yrs old version too!
I might have journaled about it as I was writing then. Perhaps I'll find something and share it. Frankly, I didn't know what to think back then. When we're too close to the wound, we won't and cannot see it as clearly as we can years later. Although I hope with maturity, it becomes easier to see more clearly while going through the messiness. I didn't know what I didn't know. Same as today;)
Yes Jaclyn that was very scary for me. But the Lord gave me a verse from the Bible.
Galatians 4:6. Be not anxious for anything but by prayer and supplication make our requests unto God. That’s what got me thru.
I often wonder how parents of sick children make it through. Thank you for praying for me, always.

Thanks Mary Ann, I appreciate that you think so. That book sounds like quite the read.

Ha, yes, I was extremely lucky. Thank you for always noticing.
